Early on the morning of Saturday, April 22, 2006, the Arkansas Stars hit the road for Monroe Civic Center in Monroe, Louisiana. Just a few days earlier, the organization had restructured the coaching staff. Marshall Foreman took over as Head Coach and Raymond House concentrated on the defense. They were on a mission: Razzle-Dazzle the Twin City Gators and come home with a W.
At 7:00 p.m., the Arkansas Stars won the coin toss and deferred. After 2 hours and 55 minutes of Gator wrestling, "Mission Accomplished." The Stars had lit up the night.
The Stars racked up a total of 17 first downs and 53 points to the Gators' 12 first downs and 35 points. With Josh Waggle at the helm for most of the game, Chrys Chukwuma added 96 rushing yards to his career with an average of 8.7 yards per carry and 3 touchdowns. Waggle completed 16 of 27 attempts for a total of 204 yards and 3 touchdown passes. Darian Chestnut led the pack in receiving with 8 for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Stars scored first and continued to shine.
Friday, April 28, the Stars go up against the River City Rage in St. Louis, Missouri. The Rage is in the Atlantic Conference. The Stars are in the Pacific conference.
