Stars Sign Forward Valeriane Ayayi

SAN ANTONIO (July 28, 2015) - The San Antonio Stars have signed forward Valeriane Ayayi, head coach and general manager Dan Hughes announced today.

Ayayi, a 6-0 forward from France, most recently played with Basket Lattes Montpellier in her home country. In 12 Euroleague games, Ayayi averaged 12.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 28.3 minutes. The 21-year-old shot 51.4 percent (57-111) from the floor and 45.2 percent (14-31) from three-point range.

In a corresponding move, the Stars waived guard Kalana Greene. Greene signed with the Stars on June 23 and appeared in 11 games, averaging 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds in 19.5 minutes.

With the addition of Ayayi, the Stars roster now stands at 12. She will wear jersey No. 11.
