Stars Sign Adut Bulgak

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Stars today announced that they have signed forward Adut Bulgak (Uh-DOOT Bull-GACK) to a training camp contract.

Bulgak was selected 12th overall in the 2016 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty. In seven games with New York, she averaged 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 3.3 minutes. She spent two seasons at Florida State University, averaging 12.5 points and 8.7 rebounds, and ranks fourth in rebounding average (8.7) and ninth in blocked shots (88) in program history. Bulgak played her freshman and sophomore seasons at Trinity Valley Community College, where she was named 2014 NJCCA Division I player of the year.

Bulgak is currently playing for IDK Gipuzkoa Universidad Del Pais Vasco in Spain, where she is averaging 9.1 points and 7.9 rebounds in 20.3 minutes.

The Stars will tip off the 2017 season, presented by H-E-B, on the road with back-to-back games May 13 at New York and May 14 at Washington before their home opener vs. Phoenix on May 19 at 7 p.m. CT at the AT&T Center.
