Stars Resign WR Dexter Manley

October 11, 2013 - Lone Star Football League (LSFL)
New Mexico Stars News Release

Rio Rancho - The New Mexico Stars are thrilled to announce the resigning of league leading WR Dexter Manley. Manley led the Lone Star Football League (LSFL) last season with 77 catches for 1,221 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns, and has a private workout scheduled with the San Antonio Talons of the Arena Football League (AFL) on October 29th and 30th.

"I'm glad I was able to resign with the Stars because I love the state of New Mexico" said Manley. "I fell in love with New Mexico last season because of the fans. I met so many wonderful people that I have kept in contact with after the season, and I can't wait to get back to meet even more. Plus now we have a new owner and new head coach, so I am looking forward to working with both of them and bringing a championship banner to hang in the Star Center."

Coach Dominic Bramante said "Dexter is part of our team's foundation, and a guy you can build an offense around. My #1 priority was to get him back when I took over, so I am excited about that for sure."

Manley rejoins WR Roland Bruno and LB Landrick Brody from last year's team, and new comers Donovan Portarie, Cale Ware, Justin Sydney, and Victor Rodgers. The Stars will be holding an open tryout on October 19th at Manzano High School's Wilson Stadium from 12-4 PM. Coach Bramante will be in attendance to evaluate players and camp invites will be offered.
