
Stars Introduce More Players

Rio Rancho - The New Mexico Stars are proud to announce new players on their 2014 roster with the signings of David J. Carter and David Lewis.
The Stars have also re-signed Marcus Allen and Landrick Brody. David J. Carter played wide receiver at the University of Oregon, as well as Seton Hill University. Carter set many records during his last season in college by having 84 catches and ranking 10th in nation for his position.
"I see the New Mexico Stars had the top receivers of the league last season,â" Carter said. "I'm excited for the opportunity to be a part of that."
David Lewis played wide receiver at Southern Illinois University from 2008-2012. During his senior year, Lewis was recorded as the only player on his team to have at least one catch in every game.
"I'm confident that we're putting together a good team and can't wait to see how it goes,"Â Lewis said.
Defensive back Marcus Allen is returning to the Stars for his second season.
"We have some of the guys coming back and we have great chemistry,"Â Allen said. "I feel great about this season."
Linebacker Landrick Brody is rejoining the team for his second season as well. He is looking forward to the new beginnings in March.
"I am totally bought in to what Coach Bramante is trying to do and I trust him in what he is doing to bring a winner to Rio Rancho and Albuquerque," said Brody.
These players are joining the 2014 roster with WR Roland Bruno and WR Dexter D. Manley from last season, and new comers Donovan Porterie, Cale Ware, Justin Sydney and Victor Rodgers.
