Stars announce open tryouts for 2006 season

The Arkansas Stars will be holding free agent workouts on January 21, 2006 at All Star Sports Arena. The Stars is a new expansion team in there first season in the National Indoor Football League, and will continue to play at Randall Tyson Track Center. The season runs from March through August.

There will be a registration fee for player workouts. Cost will be $55, cash or money order, at the door or $50 for any players who pre-register for workouts by contacting Ron Hargrave at (816)-200-4237 or by email at ron@arkansasstars.com

Workouts will be held at All Stars Sports Arena, in Springdale Arkansas and will be broken down into several testing areas. Registration will run from 3:00p.m until 4:00 p.m., testing begins at 4:00 p.m. with players being tested in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard short shuttle, vertical jump, broad jump, bench press (225lbs) and an IQ Test will be given. There will be a break around 12:30pm for lunch on your own before position specific drills begin.

All players should bring shorts, turf shoes and all other necessary clothing.
