Edmonton, AB. - FC Edmonton travel to Minnesota for the first time this season for a pivotal NASL match on Saturday night (6:30 p.m. K.O./ www.fcedmonton.com).

FC Edmonton is in second place in the standings and are just two points ahead of the third place Stars. Edmonton does have a game in hand over the Stars.

The last time these two clubs met at Foote Field on May 23, the home team walked away with a 2-1 win thanks to two goals from Kyle Porter in a come-from-behind win.

On Wednesday, Edmonton leapfrogged Minnesota in the standings with a win over the Puerto Rico Islanders but the two teams have been jockeying for that second place spot behind the Carolina RailHawks all season.

After playing the Stars on Saturday, FC Edmonton will return home to face the Montreal Impact on June 26 before heading back to Blaine for another match up against the Stars. Points in the next three games could be crucial for both teams when it comes to making the playoffs.

OTHER FACTS:

- Kyle Porter continues to lead the team with 4 goals; Shaun Saiko leads the team in assists with three.

- Simone Bracellelo and Devin Del Do share Minnesota's goal scoring lead with four each.

- $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Red Cross for tornado relief in Minnesota.
