
Stampede's Cipra Named Player of the Week

HARRISBURG, PA (May 4, 2011) - Harrisburg Stampede kicker J.R. Cipra was named the Southern Indoor Football League's (SIFL) Special Team's Player of the Week for his thirteen point performance in the Stampede's 41-40 win over the Erie Explosion.
"J.R. earning the honor of special team's player of the week is a huge accomplishment for him and this organization after what they have been through the first half of the season. I am excited for J.R. and what is to come for the remainder of the season. These guys work hard and our goal is to get better every day, day by day, and finish the season strong!" commented Stampede Head Coach Josh Resignalo.
Cipra totaled three field goals, three unos, and one extra point in the 41-40 victory over the Northeast Division leading Erie Explosion (5-2).
Cipra's final kick of the day gave Harrisburg its first lead of the day. 41-40. with just 53 seconds remaining in the game and secured the Stampede's first win of the season.
