$1 Hot Dogs this Wednesday vs Team USA!

The Stampede (17-7-8) return home to the Sioux Falls Arena this Wednesday night to face the U.S. Under-17 National Team Development Program at 7:05 PM. Thanks to SMG/Sioux Falls Arena, hot dogs will be just $1 the entire night!

The Stampede are coming off an emotional 2-1 overtime win over Fargo Sunday night at the Sioux Falls Arena. Anthony Day tallied the game winner 3:43 into the extra session while Clay Witt earned his 12th win of the season, stopping 27 of 28 shots on the night.

Sioux Falls enters the week in third place in the West Division, seven points behind Fargo for second with three games in hand. After Wednesday, the Stampede will play seven of their next eight games on the road, including games at Cedar Rapids and Lincoln this weekend.

The Stampede Hockey Club is working on a FAN BUS to Sioux City, IA coming up FEB. 6TH (Saturday). The trip is in partnership with APPLEBEE'S, our new Stampede corporate sponsors. Cost per person: $20 for bus and game ticket.

APPLEBEE'S (Empire East in Sioux Falls) will serve as the pre-game gathering place and then APPLEBEE'S Sioux City (adjacent to the Musketeers' arena) will serve as your post-game stop for appetizers before the bus heads back home. Your restaurant purchases would be above & beyond the trip price.

Witt, 3 Stampede Affiliate Player Listed on NHL Central Scouting List

NHL Central Scouting has released its mid-term rankings of draft-eligible players in advance of the 2010 NHL Draft. The list includes one current Stampede player and three players on the Stampede's affiliate roster which is compiled of players selected during the USHL "Futures Draft." The affiliate list is a roster of 12 players that a team is allowed to protect in addition to their 23-man roster.

Clay Witt ranks 19th overall amongst North American goaltenders while affiliate netminder Jacob Meyers ranks 31st overall. Forward Jason Clark is listed at 73rd overall while forward Christian Isackson is ranked 112th overall amongst North American skaters.

3rd Annual Sioux Nation Pet Clinic Wiener Dog Race is Coming!

The 3rd Annual Sioux Nation Pet Clinic Wiener Dog Race is just around the corner! The race will take place on Saturday, February 13th against Green Bay. Information on how you can register your dog for the race will be made available in the coming weeks.

The race is a benefit for Dakota Dachshund Rescue. Fans can purchase tickets to the game for just $10 with $5 from each ticket sold benefiting Dakota Dachshund Rescue! Email Jim Olander ( olander@sfstampede.com) for more information.

Sexton Continues Amazing Play with Ducks, Faces Vanek & the Sabres Tuesday

Former Stampede star Dan Sexton continued his amazing play with the Anaheim Ducks last night, tallying a goal and an assist in a 5-4 win over Calgary. Sexton has 16 points (8g, 8a) in his first 22 NHL games. He has points in three of this last four games and has helped the Ducks to seven straight home wins and into a tie for 10th place in the West Division.

Sexton was integral part of the Stampede's 2007 Clark Cup Championship team and signed with the Ducks this past summer after spending two years at Bowling Green State University.

Sexton and the Ducks return to action tomorrow (Tuesday) night when the host Thomas Vanek and the Buffalo Sabres at 9 PM (Central). Vanek has also registered a point in three of his last four games for the Sabres who are now 29-11-6 and in first place in the Northeast Division with 64 points.

Vanek is fourth on the Sabres in scoring with 26 points (12g, 14a) in 41 games. The Sabres play at Phoenix tonight before traveling to Anaheim.
