Stampede Weekly Update: Herd to Play Three Games in Three Days

The Sioux Falls Stampede prepare for three games in three days this week. The Herd will play Thanksgiving night in Omaha before returning home on Friday to host Green Bay and then traveling to Kearney, NE on Saturday to face Tri-City. All games start at 7:05 PM.

The Stampede enter the week with a 9-5-0 record and tied for second in the Western Conference with 18 points. Starting Thursday, Sioux Falls will play four of their next six games on the road.

Stampede split over the weekend

The Stampede went 1-1-0 at home last weekend and finished their five-game homestand with a 3-2-0 record. The Herd are 7-2-0 at home this season.

On Friday, the Stampede fell to the Fargo Force 3-2. Ryan Jacobson and Nolan Youngman tallied the goals for the Stampede who are 2-1-0 against Fargo this season with all three games decided by just one goal.

On Saturday, the Stampede exploded for seven goals and rolled past Tri-City 7-4. Daniel Doremus posted two goals while Austyn Young recorded a goal and an assist. Zack Kamrass tallied three assists in the win for the Stampede who are 6-0-0 when scoring four or more goals this season.

Blood Drive this Tuesday!

The 9th annual "Score one For Life" blood drive takes place this Tuesday from 7 AM to 1 PM at the Avera McKennan Fitness Center and from 3 PM to 6 PM at the Culver's Restaurant on Minnesota Avenue.

Each patron donating blood will receive:

. Two (2) Stampede tickets to an upcoming game

. A 3-day workout pass to the Avera McKennan Fitness Center

. A token for a free dish or cone of Culver's famous custard

. In addition, those donating at Culver's between 3-6 PM will receive 10% off their final bill.

Help the Food Pantry Friday

The Stampede are teaming up with the Sioux Falls Arena this Friday to help the local Food Pantry in Sioux Falls. The Stampede are asking fans bring in canned food items to the arena to help the food pantry. Fans who bring in canned items will receive $3-off the best available seat for Friday's game against Green Bay! Please help those less fortunate this holiday season.

Star Performance Complex night this Friday!

This Friday night is "Star Performance Complex Night" with the Stampede! Star Performance Complex will be on hand in the front lobby before, during and after the game!

Make sure to stop by and learn about their 18,000 square foot activity center. They offer classes in dance, gymnastics, Tae Kwondo, Tennis, Zumba, Boot Camp, Yoga, Basketball, Soccer and Wrestling.

Merchandise Sale this Friday!

The shopping mall won't be the only place you can get deals this Black Friday. Last year's Stampede merchandise will be 20% off (no other discounts apply) this Friday! Nodl tallies highlight reel goal

Former Stampede star Andreas Nodl recorded a highlight reel goal on Saturday night as he helped the Flyers top the Washington Capitals in a shootout.

Nodl recorded a spectacular Spin-o-rama goal to give the Flyers a 4-3 lead in the third period. The Flyers would eventually win the game 5-4 in a shootout. Check out the goal by clicking here

Nodl has eight points (5g, 3a) in 12 games this season for the Flyers who are 13-6-2 and in first place in the Atlantic Division. Nodl was featured on CSNPhilly.com yesterday about his hot start to the season.

Hartzell remains perfect at Quinnipiac

Former Stampede goaltender Eric Hartzell improved to a perfect 4-0-0 with two victories over the weekend.

Hartzell stopped all 31 shots faced and earned his second career shutout in a 2-0 win over Dartmouth on Friday. On Saturday, Hartzell turned aside 28 of 32 shots in a 5-4 victory over Harvard.

Hartzell ranks fourth overall amongst goaltenders nationally with a 4-0-0 record, a 1.65 GAA and a .944 save percentage in five games this season.

Quinnipiac University is located in Hamden, CT and has an enrollment of 5,500 students. The Bobcats host Princeton tomorrow night.
