
Stampede Travel to Green Bay

Sioux Falls Stampede News Release
The Sioux Falls Stampede will travel to Green Bay this weekend for a two-game series against the Gamblers at the Resch Center. The Stampede defeated the Gamblers, 4-2 back on October 19th in Sioux Falls.
The Herd are coming off a rough weekend in which they fell 6-3 at Lincoln and 6-2 to Chicago on Saturday. The Stampede are now 5-5-1 on the season.
On Friday, the Stampede got goals from Eric Springer, Marc Rodriguez and Jake Hansen, but fell behind 3-1 in the first period and were never able to recover. On Saturday, Hansen and Michael Juola scored for the Herd, but Chicago scored three times in the final period to earn the victory.
This Friday, November 16th is the first B2 Networks "Viewing Party" at Buffalo Wild Wings in Sioux Falls. You can see the entire game FREE on the "Big Screens" while enjoying terrific food specials and a chance to win special Stampede prizes!
Seating is limited so be sure to arrive early to grab your seat for all the exciting action. Game time is 7:00 PM.
The Gamblers are looking to rebound as well after falling to Des Moines and Omaha over the weekend.
PLAYERS TO APPEAR AT PARTICIPATING GAS STOP & GET N' GO LOCATIONS
Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 13th is the first of five special Stampede player appearances at participating "Get 'N Go" and "Gas Stop" stores from 5:30 PM to 7 PM.
The players will be on hand to promote the new Stampede "Choice of Champions," Large 5-Meat Pizza produced by Hot Stuff Foods. The Players will also sign autographs and pose for photos during the event.
Fans who purchase a Large "Choice of Champions" Pizza will also receive a FREE Stampede Championship puck (while supplies last)! These pucks are ONLY available during this player appearance .
DINNEN POWERS USA PAST RUSSIA FOR BRONZE MEDAL-
Stampede forward Nick Dineen scored twice, including the game winner, and assisted on another as Team USA topped Team Russia 9-6 in the Bronze Medal game of the World Junior A Challenge in British Columbia.
Dineen broke a 6-6 tie with just three minutes remaining in regulation to spark USA to victory. Jack Connolly added two assists in the win for Team USA as they finished the tournament with a 3-1 record.
BLOOD DRIVE SET FOR NOV. 20
The sixth annual "Score one for Life" Blood Drive is set for next Tuesday, November 20th from 7 AM to 1 PM at the Avera McKennan Fitness Center front lobby and from 3 PM to 6 PM at Cold Stone Creamery.
Stampede players will be on hand from 7 AM to 9 AM and 11 AM to 12 PM at the Avera McKennan Fitness Center and again from 5 PM to 6 PM to at Cold Stone Creamery.
BRIGGS EARNS FIRST PROFESSIONAL VICTORY-
Former Stampede netminder Kellen Briggs earned his first professional win in goal Saturday night, stopping 38 of 39 shots for the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL) in their 7-1 win over Alaska. The Steelheads are the "AA" affiliate of the Dallas Stars.
Briggs is now 1-1-1 on the season with a 2.29 GAA and a .935 save percentage. Briggs spent three seasons with the Stampede (2000-2003) and holds team records for Most Wins in a Career (41) and Most Saves in a Career (3,291).
Briggs and the Steelheads return to action Wednesday when they host the Utah Grizzles.
