
Stampede signs first player in team history

The Salem Stampede has signed Ramon Taylor as its first player in team history for the 2006 IBL Season.
Taylor is a 5'11' point-guard out of Louisville, KY. He has several years of professional basketball experience. Most recently Ramon has played with the Mississippi Stingers of the ABA and the world famous Harlem Globetrotters in 2005. Taylor also played with the ABA Kentucky Colonels in 2004.
Ramon participated in the Denver Nuggets Rookie Camp. He was one of four players selected from a group of over 200 to receive invites to the Nuggets Rookie/Free Agent Camp.
"Ramon is the just the player the Stampede is looking for" said President/GM Anthony Veliz, " He is an excellent point guard with great athletic ability and has a high character that fits with our core values."
Taylor played his college basketball for Eastern Illinois University from 2001-2003 and at Southeastern University from 1999-2001.
