Harrisburg Stampede News Release

HARRISBURG, PA (February 2, 2012) - The Harrisburg Stampede has their new Dance Team Coordinator in place and for the first time in Franchise history the organization will also have a Spirit Squad. We are proud to announce that Marla Zielinski will be the Coordinator of the Stampede Spirit Starletz. Marla and Ginelle are working out the details for the teams auditions. Audition information will be posted on the Stampede web site and the Stampede Face Book page.

Since the tiny age of 3 years old, Marla Zielinski learned that she could create sound with the tapping of her tiny feet. Her mother, Sylvia decided to enroll her in dance classes, where she learned the art of tap, jazz and ballet.

When she hit 5 years old, she became very interested in cheerleading so she tried out and made the team at her local town's organization Rising Sun Athletic Association. Cheering with them through her years landed her spots on the varsity squad at her Jr. High school and all the way up to her years at her local Sr. high school.

Throughout her childhood she learned from numerous dance instructors perfecting her craft which landed her modeling positions for dance costume magazines and other various photo shoots. She also performed in local play companies and danced in competitions. Marla ended up in a car accident when she was just a young teenager and they told her that everything she loved would have to end. Well that didn't stop her at all one bit. She rehabilitated herself back to where she was and got right back in place where she knew she belonged and continued it through her early 20s.

She then decided to take a break from it all to raise her 3 beautiful daughters but never gave up the love for dance and cheering. She was then later on in life given that opportunity back to not only become a head coach but also the director for the cheerleading department at her once childhood organization, Rising Sun. This then gave her the opportunity to try out for her city's indoor football league, where she landed a spot as the cheerleader/dancer for the Smokin' Hot Steam Team of the Reading Express. She enjoyed 2 years with them before landing an amazing job with Go Gurlz Entertainment, where she currently host parties, venues, music videos and club dance appearances.

Marla will never give up her passion for dance and cheering as long as the opportunities keep knocking at her door. She's very pleased to now have the opportunity to be the Spirit Coordinator for the Stampede Starletz and is ready for the new adventure she has been given.
