Staff Changes at the Canadian Football League

October 7, 2015 - Canadian Football League (CFL) News Release

TORONTO - The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today a list of staff changes and promotions at its head office in an effort to accelerate the league's growth and deliver even greater value to its fans, teams and corporate partners.

Tyler Mazereeuw becomes Vice-President of the newly formed Corporate Partnerships department, leading a group that is responsible for both sponsorship sales and account services. He will be heading up an accomplished team that is poised to build on several recent successes by attracting new partners and working closely with their current group of valued partners.

Christina Litz takes on an expanded role as Vice-President, Marketing and Content. Christina, who has done such an effective job modernizing the CFL's digital assets and managing its broadcast relationships, will now additionally be responsible for marketing and events. With the increasing convergence of traditional marketing and digital, Christina is well-suited to head up the league's combined efforts to lead a brand positioning that attracts new fans as it continues to serve its loyal and avid fan base.

Matt Maychak becomes Vice-President, Communications and Public Affairs, in recognition of the role he has been playing in leading and advising the CFL's media, government and public relations, as well as his ability to help craft initiatives such as its recent violence against women policy. His responsibilities now include CFL Community.

Kevin McDonald, Vice-President of Football Operations, and Glen Johnson, Vice-President, Officiating, continue in their very important roles, working with all teams to administer the CFL game on and off the field. This is vital to the quality of the product, which is at the core of everything the league does and is.

David Cuddy continues his role as Vice-President, Finance and Business Operations, leading a team overseeing financial, legal and governance matters.

All of the staff changes announced today are effective immediately.
