Metropolitan Riveters News Release
St. Louis native Nicole Arnold has signed with the Metropolitan Riveters for the 2019-20 season.
"Growing up, I would never have imagined the opportunity to play competitive hockey after graduation and the fact that this is a reality only adds to my excitement for the season," said Arnold, a 23-year-old forward. "The enthusiasm of the Riveters' staff has been evident from the first time we spoke, and I can't wait to get on the ice in September."
Arnold spent two seasons at the University of Maine, appearing in 63 games for the Black Bears. She also played 10 games during the 2018-19 season with the St. Louis University men's ACHA team - scoring two goals and adding five assists - and appeared in three playoff games or Djurgårdens IF of the SDHL.
"Nicole plays the game with passion and intensity," said Riveters general manager Kate Whitman Annis. "She's a perfect fit for our forward corps this season."
In addition to her playing career, Arnold worked for the St. Louis Blues in the Little Blues Learn to Play hockey development program. While playing for the Riveters, Arnold will continue to work remotely on domestic violence policy research.
