St. Charles, MO- St. Louis Attack have made a change at Head Coach. Pat Pimmel will now serve as the Director of Player Personal due to conflicts with the 2014 St. Louis Attack Schedule. Chris McKinney was announced today as the successor to Pimmel and will assume Head Coaching responsibilities for the 2014 St. Louis Attack season.

Chris McKinney attended Apex High School in Raleigh North Carolina where he was a stand out player. After graduation he attended North Carolina State and then Guilford College. McKinney graduated from Guilford College in 2003, where he started 40 games. While playing for Guilford College, McKinney was a 4 time All Conference Award winner and 3 time All American Award winner. Mckinney also set an NCAA record for 5 punt returns for touchdowns in a single season.

After college McKinney played for the Florida Firecats of the the AF2 (2004-2009), where his skills at Wide Receiver ranked him towards the top in all receiving and scoring categories in the league. By the end of his time in the AF2 he was 7th All Time for touchdowns with 171.

McKinney started his Coaching career in 2005 as Wide Receiver Coach for Lakeside High School in Atlanta Georgia until 2012. In 2012-13 McKinney was the Offensive Coordinator for the Georgia Rampage, then moved on as the Wide Receiver and Special Teams Coach for the Philadelphia Soul of the AFL. While with the Soul his team won the American East Conference and were the Arena Bowl Runner-up.

Andrew Haines said, " We are excited to bring in someone with Chris' background and experience. We feel Chris will bring an energy that we are looking for as we establish our fan base in the St. Louis area."

Chris McKinney stated, "I am excited to bring my unique offensive style to the Attack, and keep the foundation Coach Pimmel has brought to this team. I look forward to getting out in the community and meeting the great fans in and around the St. Louis area."

Coach Pimmell added, "I am happy and sad at the same time. Due to my schedule I would not have been able to give the Attack 100% of my time, which they deserve. At the same time I am excited to be a part of the team and will assist Coach McKinney in anyway I can to help bring a championship to St. Louis."
