May 21, 2015 - X-League (X-League)
St. Louis Attack News Release
St. Charles, MO - The St. Louis Attack take their final road trip of the 2015 regular season when they head south to battle the Rio Grande Valley Sol this Sunday, May 24 at 7:00 p.m. at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.
The X-League standings are tight as the top teams fight it out for one of three playoff spots. Seven of the league's ten teams, including the Attack, are stil in the hunt for a trip to the postseason. Rio Grande is in first place with a 4-1 record while St. Louis occupies the fourth slot with a 4-2 record.
The Sol handed the Attack a 60-43 loss in the only head-to-head matchup between the two teams this season on April 4 at the Family Arena. St. Louis has compiled a 3-1 record since that contest and has won their last two games under new head coach Pat Pimmel, who took the reigns of the team on April 20.
Sunday's game is one of only two regular-season contests remaining for the Attack. With two games to play and a bottleneck in the standings, it may well be the team's most important game.
Following Sunday's tussle in Texas, the Attack return to the Family Arena for their final regular season home game when they host the Corpus Christi Fury Sunday, May 30 at 7:35 p.m. Group and individual game tickets are on sale now.
