St. Louis Ambush News Release
Saint Charles, Missouri - The St. Louis Ambush (4-6-1) battle the Kansas City Comets (5-4-4) for the last time during the 2022-23 regular season when the two teams collide Saturday at 6:05 p.m. CST at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri.
Saturday's match is the sixth time the two teams have met this season, with Kansas City enjoying a 3-2 advantage in the previous encounters. Duels between these Missouri rivals are often intense and closely fought. Three of the previous five gamed were decided in overtime, including the last meeting on January 20, which saw the Ambush tie the game in regulation with .9 seconds left on the clock.
Each team is hoping to get their season back on track after recent woes. The Ambush have dropped three of their last five games, while the Comets have lost four of their last five. St. Louis will be without the services of Greg Kranz, who is out with a groin strain and the Comets will not have James Togbah, who will sit out Saturday's contest on concussion protocol. Kansas City will also miss their assists leader John Sosa, who was suspended by the MASL for penalty points accumulation.
After two weekends on the road, the Ambush get to enjoy home cooking when they play back-to-back home games next weekend. The Milwaukee Wave invade The Family Arena on Friday, February 10 at 7:35 p.m. CST, followed by a visit from the Florida Tropics on February 11 at 7:05 p.m. CST. All Ambush games are available for webcast at twitch.com.
Tickets for all Ambush home games are available from the Family Arena box office and ticketmaster.com. For season or group tickets, call the Ambush office at 636-477-6363. Fans can stay current on all Ambush news by visiting the team's official website, stlambush.com and on social media outlets.
