The St. John's Fog Devils announced today that tickets for the preseason series against the Ottawa 67's in Corner Brook will go on sale this Friday, July 22 at the Pepsi Centre Box Office. Tickets can be paid by cash, VISA or Mastercard. All ticket prices are $13 (HST included). Pepsi Centre Box Office hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm. The Box Office number is (709) 637-1233.
The games are set for the Pepsi Centre on Saturday, September 10 (7:00pm) and Sunday, September 11 (2:00pm) and will allow Western Newfoundland fans their first opportunity to see the Fog Devils, Newfoundland's newest team as well as the 67's, one of the most storied junior franchises in the country.
"We very excited about bringing Fog Devils to Corner Brook, allowing the community to show its support of QMJHL hockey. These games will give us the opportunity to highlight our players, especially the young Newfoundlanders who will be vying for a spot on our roster and will help us show that the Fog Devils are truly a Provincial team. We could not be more pleased playing established franchises like the Ottawa 67's games in Corner Brook," stated Brad Dobbin, Governor of the St. John's Fog Devils.
"I grew up in Corner Brook and played minor hockey there, so for me this is very special and a good excuse to go back and visit family and friends. The 67's are very excited about these games as many have never been to Newfoundland," stated Jeff Hunt, owner of the Ottawa 67's.
The Fog Devils will open its first Training Camp in Newfoundland on Tuesday, August 16.
The St. John's Fog Devils are the newest member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and are one of 58 member clubs of the Canadian Hockey League. The franchise begins its inaugural season in September 2005.
