Sportsvite Play With The Pros Wraps Up Soon

November 19, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

New York City, NY. The Sportsvite (www.sportsvite.com) "Play with the Pros" video contest is about to come to its dramatic and hopefully glorious conclusion. This week Sportsvite member and Houston resident Henry Samuels will tryout to make the ABA Houston Takers and will suit up to play in at least one ABA basketball game for the Houston Takers on November 24th.

Henry is receiving this once in a lifetime opportunity to make his dream come true by winning the Sportsvite "Play with the Pros" Video Contest. He was selected as a finalist by a panel of judges that included Houston Rocket point guard Mike James and ABA Vermont Frost Heaves head coach Will Voight. The Sportsvite community then voted to determine the ultimate winner and the hard work, passion and dedication Henry displayed in his video were rewarded.

We would love to share Henry's story and tryout with the Houston community, and the rest of the world for that matter. We can provide full access to Henry, his tryout, the actual game and the Houston Takers team and staff. Please visit www.sportsvite.com for Henry's Contest Video, Henry's Profile, Contest Blog Post, "Play with the Pros" Contest Page and Press Kit.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
