January 10, 2008 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Toronto Rock News Release
TORONTO - The Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club and Rogers Sportsnet have announced that a number of regular season home games will be broadcast live on Sportsnet Ontario throughout the 2008 season beginning with the home opener this weekend on Friday January 11th at 7:30 p.m. EST.
The select Rock games broadcasted this season will be sponsored by Proline and once again incorporate the embedded content style to the game, which allows the viewers to see most of the in-arena action from the Air Canada Centre that they wouldn't necessarily see unless they were at the game in person.
The Rock take on the Minnesota Swarm in the home opener this Friday night and will be the first of five Toronto Rock broadcasts available this season. Rob Faulds will be calling the play by play action with Brian Shanahan covering the analysis. Sam Cosentino will also be close by reporting live from the benches throughout the game.
The following regular season games are those available live on Rogers Sportsnet Ontario in 2008:
Minnesota Swarm @ Toronto Rock - Friday, January 11th at 7:30 p.m.
