
Sports name field staff for 2007

Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release
The Shreveport Sports field staff will have some familiar faces for the 2007 season.
Bob Flori will return for his third season as the Sports manager. The Sports finished 54-39 last year under Flori and won the South Division first half in the American Association. The club then lost to league champion Fort Worth in the first round of the playoffs.
Eddie Gerald will return as the hitting coach and first base coach for the 2007 season. This will be Gerald's second season with the Sports/
The newest member of the 2007 staff will be pitching coach Bert Snow. Snow, who has been a starting pitcher for the Sports the past two season will assume the dual role of pitcher and pitching coach for the Sports. As a starter for the Sports last year, Snow posted a 9-3 record. In Snow's first year with the Sports in 2005, he was 11-6.
Snow brings nine years of professional experience with him, including having pitched a Triple-A in the Oakland organization for three years.
The Sports will open the 2007 season on May 10th at Fort Worth, the defending American Association champions. The home opener for the Sports will be May 14th at Fair Grounds field against Lincoln.
