Spinners Promote Lindsay to Senior Vice President

LOWELL, MASS. - The Lowell Spinners, Class-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, announced the promotion of Brian Lindsay to Senior Vice President/Assistant General Manager Monday afternoon.
Lindsay, a native of Centereach, New York, has been with the Spinners organization since the team was the Elmira Pioneers prior to the team's relocation to Lowell where they became the Spinners. His previous title was Vice President/Assistant General Manager.
"With uncertainty in today's economy I felt it was important to get some new leadership and energy at the top of our corporate partnership department," said Spinners President and General Manager Tim Bawmann. "Brian Lindsay's experience is the perfect fit for our organization as we go forward."
In addition to overseeing the team's corporate partnerships, Lindsay will continue to oversee the team's concessions department and seasonal game day staff amongst other responsibilities.
Lindsay began his baseball career as an intern with the Greenville Braves in 1987. After Greenville, his career traveled through Welland, Ontario, to Charleston, West Virginia and Elmira before settling in Lowell.
Away from LeLacheur Park Lindsay resides in Hudson, NH with wife, Joanne, and their six children: Shannon (17), Tristan (16), Erin (13), Caitlin (12), Madailein (10) and Darian (3). He is actively involved with his church, St. Kathryn's Parish, and the Special Olympics, where Tristan is a frequent competitor.
The Spinners have turned their eye toward 2012 with the team actively soliciting new partnerships for the upcoming season.
"The calendar has yet to change but our focus is already turned 2012," said Lindsay. "The thought of a sold out crowd June 18, 2012 is closer than you'd think. It is never too early to think baseball!"
