LOWELL, MASS. -- The Lowell Spinners, Class A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, are pleased to announce Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union as the title sponsor of the 2012 Lowell Spinners season as part of celebrating the credit union's 100 year anniversary.

The thread will be a common trend throughout the Spinners 2012 season, highlighted when the Spinners turn back the clock to 1912 by donning replica jerseys in the style of the Lowell Grays when they take on the Staten Island Yankees Monday, July 16. The game jerseys will be auctioned off during the game to benefit D'Youville Senior Care's Alzheimer's Awareness Unit.

"Lowell has such a rich history and we are thrilled to tap into this history with Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union as they celebrate 100 years of service within the Merrimack Valley," said Spinners President and General Manager Tim Bawmann. "We look forward to celebrating this momentous year throughout the season with one of our most valued partners."

In addition to "Turn Back the Clock" Day, the Spinners and Jeanne D'Arc will also honor the 100th fan through the main entrance at each Spinners home game. Each selected fan will receive $100 and two tickets to the Spinners final home game of 2012 where they will have their chance to grab a share of $1,000 in the Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union "Money Machine."

"We are excited to share our 100th anniversary celebration with the community and the Spinners," said Michelle Silveira, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union. "We are thrilled to work with a local business that brings affordable family fun to the area."

Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union was established in 1912 and is a full-service, member-owned community-based financial cooperative with more than 57,000 members and more than $922 million in assets. It operates six full-service branches in Lowell, Dracut (2), Tyngsboro, Chelmsford and Methuen, Massachusetts; three high-school branches at Lowell High, Dracut High, and Nashoba Valley Technical High schools; and a loan center in Lowell.

The 2012 Lowell Spinners season, presented by Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union, kicks off when they take on the Connecticut Tigers, Monday, June 18 at LeLacheur Park.
