
SPHL Announces Surge, Ice Flyers Suspensions

CHARLOTTE, NC - The SPHL today announced that four players have been suspended for their actions during SPHL Game #186, Mississippi at Pensacola, played on Saturday, March 20.
At 14:04 of the second period, Mississippi's Ryan Bartle was assessed a minor penalty for roughing, a misconduct and a game misconduct under Rule 40.5, Verbal Abuse of Officials. The game misconduct was Bartle's fourth of the season, resulting in an automatic one-game suspension for accumulated game misconducts.
Bartle will miss Mississippi's game at Columbus on Thursday, March 25.
At the 17:58 mark of the third period, Pensacola's Joey Hughes was assessed a minor penalty for instigating, a major penalty for fighting, a game misconduct under Rule 47.6, Fighting After the Original Altercation and a game misconduct under Rule 47.11, Instigator in Final Five Minutes of Regulation Time.
Per Rule 47.21, Mr. Hughes is automatically suspended one (1) game for instigating an altercation in the last five minutes and will miss Pensacola's game against Louisiana on Thursday, March 25.
At the 19:24 mark of the third period, Pensacola's Rob Campbell was assessed a minor penalty for instigating, a major penalty for fighting and a game misconduct under Rule 47.11, Instigator in Final Five Minutes of Regulation Time.
Per Rule 47.21, Mr. Campbell is automatically suspended one (1) game for instigating an altercation in the last five minutes and will miss Pensacola's game against Louisiana on Thursday, March 25.
