
Sox Re-Sign Closer Erik Draxton

The Amarillo Sox have resigned closer Erik Draxton for the 2014 season. Draxton had a team-high 13 saves in 2013, and posted a 3.08 ERA in his first season in the American Association. The Cal State-Bakersfield product racked up 61 strikeouts in 49.2 innings pitched.
Draxton has played four seasons of independent-level baseball, accumulating a 9-10 record with a 3.21 ERA and 52 saves for three separate teams.
