PORTLAND, OR - On Thursday, the Thunder were assigned quarterback Danny Southwick and received wide receiver Alvance Robinson from the Pittsburgh Power to finish last week's Antonio Narcisse trade.

"Danny's a solid quarterback; he knows the game and has been effective when he's had the opportunity to play in the past. Most importantly, he knows where his windows are going to be against AFL defenses and it'll be great to have him helping guide our young QBs," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. "And Alvance is a great receiver. Obviously, I've been there while he's put up a couple of thousand-yard seasons and he can be a difference-maker."

Southwick (6-2, 205) is a three-season veteran of the AFL, having played for Tampa Bay, San Jose, and Chicago since 2011. He brings that experience to an offense that has at times needed a knowledgeable presence under center in its first two games. In limited experience over his last two seasons, Southwick completed 30 of 48 passes for 352 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Robinson (5-9, 175) completes the trade the Thunder made with the Power last week, bringing not just experience, but experience within Sauk's system, where he thrived in 2011 and 2012, catching 185 passes for 2,343 yards and 46 touchdowns in one of the highest-powered offenses in the league.

To make room on the roster ahead of Saturday's game, the team placed defensive back Patrick Stoudamire on recallable reassignment.
