South Texas Showboats To Hold Last Tryouts

San Antonio, TX. The ABA South Texas Showboats will hold their last set of walk-on tryouts on Friday, September 26th from 9pm-midnight. "We are holding these tryouts because we believe that even with the roster we have right now, we still have room for some real talent at the PG/SG-SF/PM spots," said head coach Ben Mireles. "We only have 11 guaranteed spots on this team as of right now and we are looking for players that know the game, know the responsibilities, an know the commitment. I only want players that are here to be basketball players on and off the court."
The Showboats will carry a fifteen man active roster and a five man practice squad (20 players). No traveling team. Just one team. The fee is $75 at the door, $50 for early registration.
