South Texas Showboats Make Roster Decisions

November 3, 2008 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Texas Fuel News Release

San Antonio, TX. The ABA South Texas Showboats had a good turnout for their last tryout camp and are happy to announce that they have invited seven players from the tryout back to the veterans' training camp. "We feel that the players we invited after our last tryout have an opportunity to showcase more than what we had a chance to see, so we wanted to invite them to give them an equal opportunity to earn a spot here," said owner/coach Ben Mireles. "The guys deserve a chance to do what they love and the effort and energy we've seen showed a lot of heart and talent. We believe these guys can go somewhere with some development."

The Showboats would like to thank all players who attended and would like to wish the players and their families the best in whatever they may do. The Showboats will travel to Houston November 15th to have an exhibition and will have their final roster complete by that date.
