FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A familiar face was added to the Fort Lauderdale Strikers roster ahead of the 2016 North American Soccer League (NASL) Fall Season today, with Bryan Arguez putting pen to paper on a contract for a second stint with the club. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"We are excited to add a player of Bryan's quality to our roster," said Head Coach and General Manager Caio Zanardi. "Bryan is a local talent that we know very well and has proven his ability in this league. We look forward to his contributions on the field."

Arguez, 27, was a key member of the Strikers team that reached the NASL Championship Series in 2011. The holding midfielder was an anchor in the center of the park for Fort Lauderdale, tallying one goal and two assists in 24 matches for the Strikers before moving to Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact.

A first-round pick by D.C. United in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft, Arguez transferred to German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin in 2008. The Miami native was most recently with NASL side Miami FC.

The 6-foot-2 midfielder has represented the United States at the youth national team levels.

Arguez will wear the number 17 jersey for the Strikers, the same number he sported for the club in 2011.
