Sounds of Fury to be heard again on WLAW-FM 92.5 and WEFG-FM 97.5

MUSKEGON, MI.--- The all-time top winning team in the United Hockey League, the Muskegon Fury, have unveiled today their home for all of their exciting game broadcasts as well as for their popular daily update report for the rapidly-approaching 2006-07 UHL season.

On this date, the Muskegon Fury and Citadel Broadcasting Company have announced the continuation of their existing two-year contract in which the Fury game broadcasts will remain on WLAW-FM 92.5, their exclusive flagship home. Meanwhile, the very popular "Fury Daily Update" report will remain on sister station WEFG-FM 97.5 "THE CHAMP."

This season marks the second consecutive year in which all of the Fury games, pre-season, regular season and playoffs, home and away, in their entirety, will be aired live with all of the play-by-play action on "LEGENDS & YOUNG GUNS, 92.5 FM, THE OUTLAW." As in past years, all game broadcasts will consist of a one-half hour Pre-Game Show as well as "The Fury Star of the Game Show," which will immediately follow all home game originations and the Fury Post Game Show, the latter program after all Fury games.

The Fury will mark their 15th anniversary campaign under their respective banner with the pre-season premiere on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 4TH when they travel to Kalamazoo to be hosted by the reigning Central Division, Tarry Cup and Colonial Cup Champions, Wings, in a 7:00 pm face-off with air-time set for 6:30 pm. It will be a classic confrontation early in the exhibition season featuring the last two UHL Colonial Cup Championship teams. Muskegon will see action in two pre-season dress rehearsals overall with the second and final contest representing its lone home ice appearance on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7TH at 7:30 pm at Walker Arena against the expansionist Bloomington Prairie Thunder. The first regular season broadcast on 92.5 FM, "THE OUTLAW" is on the docket for FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13TH, the opening night, coming-out party extravaganza as the Fury, once again, lock antlers with Bloomington, also at 7:30 pm with broadcast time scheduled for 7:00 pm.

Also included, as a major part of the Fury radio presentation for '06-07, will be the 12th consecutive year of the Fury daily report, "THE FURY HOCKEY UPDATE." This Fury popular program will remain on WEFG-FM 97.5, "THE CHAMP," Muskegon's all-sports station. Once again, for this season, the report will run Monday through Friday at 6:00 pm during the exceedingly popular "Huge Show." The official return of "THE FURY HOCKEY UPDATE" will be MONDAY. OCTOBER 2ND.

The "VOICE OF THE FURY," TERRY FICORELLI, e only two-time winner of the UHL Broadcaster of the Year Award, returns for his 12th season at the Muskegon "mike."

An announcement pertaining to the return, for the 12th consecutive year, of the ever-popular Monday night "Fury Hotline Show" will be coming very soon.
