
Sounds Defeat Bees In Spring Action, 5-2

Nashville Sounds News Release
PHOENIX -- The Nashville Sounds defeated the Salt Lake Bees (AAA-Angels) by the score of 5-2 on Tuesday afternoon at Maryvale Baseball Park.
For the second straight day, Major League pitchers worked the early innings from the Nashville mound. Yovani Gallardo started for the Sounds and threw 3.0 scoreless innings. Eric Gagne followed and allowed a run in his lone inning of work. Left-hander Lindsay Gulin followed and allowed one run over four frames before Luis Pena closed out the game with a scoreless inning, striking out two of his three batters faced.
Russell Branyan had an RBI double for Nashville and Hernan Iribarren added a hit and two RBIs to the offensive effort. Brian Munhall drove in a pair of runs as well.
Nashville (3-4-3) travel to Papago Park on Wednesday for their third and final spring meeting with the Sacramento River Cats (AAA-A's).
