MINNESOTA THUNDER
After a grueling three games in five days in Carolina, Puerto Rico, and Miami, the Sounders return home this Saturday to play host to the Minnesota Thunder at Starfire at 8:00 pm.
Minnesota (4-3-1) is currently tied for fifth in the table and are one point back of Seattle but with two fewer games under their belt. Through eight games, the Thunder are already half way to meeting their point total from the 2007 season when they finished second to last in the league with 26 points. Minnesota lost their last game 1-0 in Vancouver and play tonight against the Portland Timbers.
Seattle (3-2-5) is coming in to Saturday's match coming off two draws and a loss during the three game road trip. With Danny Jackson not traveling due to his sister's wedding in England, and Leighton O'Brien and Youssouf Kante both not traveling with injuries, the Sounders fought hard with a short roster to earn the two points.
The Sounders will be missing Kenji Treschuk on Saturday due to a red card he received against Miami FC. Jason Cascio and Noah Merl were both injured in Miami and will be out 3-4 weeks.
