Sounders preseason schedule kicks off March 31

The Seattle Sounders announced today their first preseason match will be played at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila at 7pm on March 31 against the Gonzaga University Bulldogs. Tickets will go on sale at 10am on March 13 through SeattleSounders.net and by calling 206.622.3415.

The night will also feature the annual meet and greet party for Sounders season ticket holders where they will get meet the players, coaching staff and enjoy a slice of pizza, courtesy of Mad Pizza, from 4:30 to 5:30.

Tickets for the event will be $5 for season ticket holders and members of Starfire Sports and $10 for the general public. Tickets are only available through the Seattle Sounders office, 206.622.3415, the Starfire Sports front desk or at the gate on March 31. Proceeds from the match go to support Starfire Sports, a non-profit group providing world class facilities for Seattle's Soccer community. Parking at the Starfire Complex will cost $5.

In addition to the match against Gonzaga, the Sounders preseason schedule will include the following matches:

April 1, 4pm vs The Puget Sound Soccer Academy Rapids at Whatcom Community College. Tickets are $7 at the gate and all proceeds go to the Puget Sound Soccer Academy.

April 15, 4pm vs Liga Hispana All-Stars at Everett Memorial Stadium. Tickets are $8 the gate and proceeds go to Evergreen Soccer.

May 6, 4pm vs Seattle University at French Field in Kent. Tickets are $10 at the gate and proceeds go to Kent Youth Soccer.

The Sounders open their regular season home schedule at Qwest Field on May 5th against the arch-rivals, the Portland Timbers. Season tickets and ticket packages are still available and can be had for as low as $72.
