The Sound organization would like to thank the staff and patients at Southside Hospital for allow us to be part of your holiday.

The Strong Island Sound is a brand new pro basketball team playing on Long Island in the ABA. The original ABA had a long tradition on Long Island and we hope to continue that with our team. We are looking to promote games with a family-friendly and affordable atmosphere.

We are hoping to have success with the sport of basketball similar to what the Long Island Ducks have had with baseball. We are trying to establish a relationship with the local communities and feel that is this a good way to start. Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
