
Soul soar away from Kats after halftime break

The Soul scored first on a 19-yard pass from QB Tony Graziani to WR Charles Pauley. Kats FB Dan Alexander responded by scoring on a one-yard rushing touchdown with 4:12 remaining in the first quarter and with a Jason Witczack extra point, tied the contest at seven. Graziani completed a 25-yard pass to Pauley for a 25-yard touchdown, pushing the Soul to 14-7.
After a close first half with the Soul leading the Kats 21-16 at halftime, Philadelphia exploded with 21 unanswered in the third quarter, with two scores 18 seconds apart. The Soul outscored the Kats 21-14 in the fourth quarter, finishing the game 63-30.
Graziani was 14-of-21 for 215 yards and one touchdown for the Philadelphia Soul (1-0). Stoerner finished 12-of-24 for 131 yards and one touchdown for the Nashville Kats (0-2), which is the worst start in Kats history.
Kats Cornelius Bonner finished the game with seven catches for 119 yards and two touchdowns.
