Soul Hold Town Takeover in Evesham this Friday

PHILADELPHIA (May 28, 2014) - The Philadelphia Soul, presented by Parx Casino, will host a "Town Takeover" in Evesham on Friday, May 30 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The Town Takeover, presented by Walgreens, will take place at 65 E. Route 70 in Marlton, NJ and will feature a "walk-through" practice before their Evesham Night at the Soul against the San Antonio Talons on Sunday, June 1 at 5 p.m.

During the practice, kids will be asked to participate by "running plays" with the Soul team. This will be the team's last practice before the Soul (5-5) host the San Antonio Talons (1-9) at the Wells Fargo Center.

"Our town takeover last year in Evesham was very successful and we look forward to meeting with such a supportive community again this year," said John Adams, VP/COO of the Soul. "Our Town Takeover is the perfect opportunity for young fans to come out and meet the players before Boy Scout night Sunday June 1st."

The event will include live musical entertainment both before and after the practice. Other festivities will include, face painting, balloon artists, food, drinks and more. In addition to Soul players and coaches, there will be appearances by the Soul mascot, SoulMan, the Soulmates dance team, Soul ownership and front office staff. After the practice, fans will be able to meet Soul players and Soulmates who will be signing autographs.

The next Soul game will be held against the San Antonio. It will be themed, "Scout Night," the Soul will host a post-game sportsmanship badge event for the Boy Scouts of America. Fans will also be able to earn their own badges if they choose to stay after the game for the event. Kick-off will be at 5 p.m. and the badge ceremony will begin shortly after the game ends.
