PHILADELPHIA -- In the one week since the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League was launched, Philadelphia fans have responded with great enthusiasm, purchasing over 2,000 season tickets for the inaugural season. The Soul will kickoff in February of 2004 with a 16-week schedule featuring eight home games, split between the Wachovia Center and Wachovia Spectrum.
"The response we have received from fans has been wonderful," said team general manager Joe Hennessy. "The Philly fans are truly passionate about their sports and have embraced this team in a way we could have only imagined."
The Soul has also had over 50,000 hits on www.philadelphiasoul.com in the one week since the site was launched.
