
Soul Begin to Build 2015 Roster

PHILADELPHIA (September 26, 2014) - The Philadelphia Soul kicked off the Arena Football League 2015 signing period by picking up the rookie option of eight players from 2014. Headlining the list of returnees is First-Team All-Arena selection DL Teddy Jennings (6'5, 270, Connecticut).
Joining him on the 2015 Soul roster are: WR Harvey Binford (6'0, 185, Lindenwood), DL Chauncey DeBose (6'2, 265, Eastern), DB Ray Little (6'0, 195, Sacramento City), DL Padric Scott (6'1, 300, Florida A&M), OL Adam Smith (6'5, 320, Western Kentucky), LB/DL Jerome Williams (6'2, 270, Connecticut), and DL Julius Williams (6'2, 280, Connecticut).
"We have identified a group of young talent that we are excited about and believe it gives us a strong foundation for next season and beyond," said Soul head coach Clint Dolezel. "Each one of the rookies now have a season under their belt and we believe the potential for the entire group will be something to make our fans excited for years to come."
Jennings, a Lineman of the Year and Rookie of the Year finalist, played a crucial role for the defense this past season. He ranked No. 4 in the league in sacks with 11.0, which also ties the franchise record for most sacks in a season (Bryan Robinson in 2013). He has also recorded 26.0 total tackles, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, a blocked kick and a safety.
The Soul will be announcing their entire coaching next week. The League begins the assistant coach signings next week.
