Soul add three to camp roster

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul have signed WR Larry Brackins, DL Kevin Fischer and WR/DB Larry Kendrick. As per club policy, terms of their deals were not disclosed.

Brackins (6'4", 221, Pearl River Community College) joins the Soul after spending time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He made their 53-man roster after being drafted in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. During training camp he caught two passes for 19 yards. While attending Pearl River CC, Brackins started in 23 games and had 101 receptions for a total of 1,834 yards and 19 touchdowns. He finished his career with 22 punts returned for 386 yards (17.5 avg.) and three touchdowns.

Fischer (6'4", 235, Florida Atlantic) enters the Arena Football League with the Soul after a brief stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Prior to joining the Bucs at Florida Atlantic, he was one of only nine players to have appeared in the program's first 47 games history. As a junior he blocked for an offense that was ranked fourth in the nation in total offense, second nationally in passing efficiency and was a part of a front line that didn't allowed a sack.

Kendrick (6'0", 210, Mississippi) comes to Philadelphia after four years at Ole' Miss. Kendrick had 12 receptions for a total of 196 yards with one touchdown during his collegiate career. Throughout his four years, he was named an All-American wide receiver and defensive back to go along with being recognized as the NJCAA's Defensive Player of the Year, MACJC-Region 23 Most Valuable Player, All-Region 23 and All-MACJC honors. Kendrick also re-joins Brackins with the Soul after they were teammates while at Pearl River CC.
