ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 6, 2006) - The Predators tabbed another Arena Football League free agent on Wednesday, signing former NFL and Arena Football League veteran Floyd Young to a one-year deal. He will play defensive back for the Predators.

Young most recently played for the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League. He signed late in the season and played in three games. He finished the season with five total tackles and three pass defenses.

He began his professional career with the Tampa Bay Bucs as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M in 1997. He made the team out of training camp and would spend the next four years with the Bucs - compiling 28 tackles and six pass defenses during that time.

The signing gives the Predators 29 players under contract for the 2007 season. The team will hold a Free Agent Tryout Camp at the Citrus Bowl Complex on Saturday.
