
Sophia Young Sidelined with ACL Tear

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio Silver Stars forward Sophia Young sustained an ACL tear in her right knee during the semifinals of the Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA) Championship on Thursday, January 24. An MRI performed in San Antonio confirmed the injury. Young will undergo surgery in San Antonio to repair the tear this week. A timetable for her 2013 season return will be established once she begins her rehabilitation process.
Young earned All-WNBA Second Team honors and was named to the WNBA All-Defensive Team in 2012 after leading the Silver Stars in scoring average (16.3), rebounds per game (7.2) and steals per game (2.24).
