Soo Eagles Face Wenatchee

The Soo Eagles will return home to the friendly confines of Pullar Stadium this weekend, where they will face the Wenatchee Wild on Friday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m.

The Eagles were swept this past weekend in Springfield, falling to the Jr. Blues, 3-2 on Friday and 7-4 on Saturday. The Wild were also swept this past weekend, by Port Huron, losing 2-1 on Saturday, and 5-3 on Sunday.

The Eagles currently sit in 5th place (3-5-3) with 9 points, in the North American Hockey League's North Division. Wenatchee sits in 6th place (5-5-0) in the Midwest Division. The Eagles and Wild will face each other two more times this season, February 14-15, 2014, in Wenatchee.

The Eagles are led in scoring by forward Jacob McDowell, who has five goals and two assists, and Ryan Urso, who has collected two goals and five assists on the season. Brad Pung is (3-4- 7) and AJ Jarosz is (1-5- 6). The Wild are led is scoring by Parker Tuomie, who has four goals and seven assists this season. Troy Loggins has four goals and five assists for Wenatchee, while Nicklas Balboa is (2-5- 7).

Soo Eagles goaltender, Paige Skoog, carries a 2-3-0-1 record into this weekend's series, with a goals against average of 2.62 and a save percentage of .921. Colin Brennan is 1-2-0-2 with a GAA of 2.52 and a SVP of .923. Chase Perry is 3-3-0-0 in net for Wenatchee, with a goals against average of 1.79 and a save percentage of .934. Mackenzie Sawyer is 2-2-0-0, with a GAA of 2.94 and a SVP of .903.

The Eagles will travel to Johnstown next week, for three games against the Tomahawks, on October 24-26.
