Somerset Patriots Receive Good Neighbor Award

Bridgewater, NJ - The Somerset Patriots and Commerce Bank Ballpark received The Good Neighbor award from the New Jersey Association of Community Providers, Inc (NJACP) at the organization's "Community Stars" dinner on Monday, May 12th.
The Good Neighbor Award is presented to organizations from the community who have embraced the mission of the NJACP and whole-heartedly welcomed people with disabilities to their neighborhood. The award recognizes a good community experience, a successful connection, an act of friendship, and inclusion at its best.
The NJACP gives recognition to disabled individuals who have made a successful transition to community living and named them as "Community Stars.
"On behalf of the ownership and management of the Somerset Patriots, we are honored to accept the Good Neighbor award from the NJACP. The ballpark was designed to be accessible to all people and we look forward to welcoming all the Community Stars from various organizations to our park throughout the season," said Patrick McVerry, General Manager of the Somerset Patriots Baseball Club.
The awards dinner took place at the Westin Hotel in Princeton, NJ and honored over 30 "Community Stars" at the event.
The 2003 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue on the road against the Atlantic City Surf. The Patriots return home for a weekend series against the Long Island Ducks on Friday, May 16th.
