CARSON, CA - Friday, June 26, 2009 - Tomorrow's Women's Professional Soccer match between the Los Angeles Sol and the Chicago Red Stars at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University - Dominguez Hills will be webcast live at 10 am (PT) on www.LosAngelesSol.com, the Sol announced today.
The Sol enters this contest in first place in the first-year league, and is unbeaten since May 2. Los Angeles boasts a 9-1-4 record, and 31 points, 13 better than the second-place Boston Breakers. Chicago, meanwhile, arrives on the West Coast in last place in WPS with a 2-5-5 mark (11 points).
The last time the Sol and the Red Stars met was on June 3 at The Home Depot Center. After both sides went the first 87 minutes without a goal, Brazilian midfielder Cristiane put the Red Stars ahead 1-0 two minutes from time. However, the home side battled back and equalized just seconds before the final whistle when WPS goals leader Camille Abily, pounced on a rebound in the penalty area put it home.
Calling all of the action and providing insights will be Los Angeles Sol Director of Media Relations Nick Ammazzalorso with color commentary provided by Aaron Heifetz, Press Officer for the United States Women's National Team.
