Soggy Night in Long Island
(Central Islip, N.Y., Aug. 22, 2010) - Following a nearly two hour plus rain delay, the Newark Bears and Long Island were rained out on Sunday night at Suffolk County Sports Park in Central Islip, New York. The game was stopped prior to the start of the fourth inning with game tied at 1-1.
Sunday's (8/22) game will be made on Monday, September 6th at Suffolk County Sports Park. Game time is set for 12:00 p.m.
The road trip continues for Newark as they head up I-95 to face the Bridgeport Bluefish in a four game series starting on Monday. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard. Fans can tune into all the action at www.newarkbears.com as David Greenwald provides the play-by-play. Newark is back in town on Friday, August 27 to open a six-game home stand with three games against Freedom Division rival, the York Revolution.
