
Sockers look for first win in Philadelphia

(SAN DIEGO, Calif.) Â The San Diego Sockers (3-5) travel to Philadelphia for their second meeting with the KiXX (5-2) at the Wachovia Spectrum on Friday, Dec. 3 at 4 p.m. San Diego looks to kick December off with their first road win of the season but face a tough KiXX squad that is unbeaten at home against the Sockers.
Mark Ughy leads the MISL in goals (10) and is tied for second place in points (13). In the team's Nov. 21 win over the Kansas City Comets, two Sockers rookies, Ryan Mack and Hewerton, recorded their first career hat tricks.
The Sockers have scored the first goal in seven of eight games this season and features the second-best power play unit at 81.8%.
Philadelphia leads the Eastern Division and is coming off a 6-3 loss to Cleveland last weekend. John Barry Nusum leads the team with eight goals and three assists.
San Diego returns home on Dec. 18 to host the Cleveland Force at the Sports Arena at 7 p.m. The first 3,000 kids to the game receive a free Sockers soccer ball, courtesy of Daphne's Greek Café and the Jagger and Kristy morning show on My94.1.
