
Soccer School Announces Staff

Somerset, N.J. (Wednesday, August 4, 2010) - Sky Blue Soccer has announced the organization has elevated Sue Scheer to the Director of the Sky Blue Soccer School. The position is a promotion for Scheer, who previously served as the Sky Blue Soccer School's Development Officer.
A two-time scholastic All-American at Steinert High School (Hamilton Township, NJ), Scheer played soccer collegiately at Stony Brook University where she majored in physical therapy. After graduating, Scheer went on to coach youth and high school soccer in Virginia for over a decade. She served as an assistant women's soccer coach at Iona College in 2006 and became head coach of the women's program at SUNY Purchase in 2007. Scheer spent two years guiding the Panthers before returning to her Jersey roots and joining the Sky Blue Soccer School in August 2009.
Scheer, who was inducted into the Steinert High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008, is a licensed physical therapist and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. She has a master's degree in sports leadership from Virginia Commonwealth and is a staff coach for the Region I Olympic Development Program.
The Sky Blue Soccer School also announced that Amanda Scully and Erin Wolleon have been added as Staff Coaches. In addition, Melissa Dziowgo will assist with marketing.

These highly-qualified individuals bring a combination of experience, insight and innovation that is the hallmark of the School's programs," said Sky Blue FC General Manager Gerry Marrone. "We pride ourselves on the unique, female-oriented programs of our School, and the staff behind them."
Scully and Wolleon, who both played Division I college soccer at Rider University, join the Sky Blue Soccer School staff after previously working for the School as trainers. Scully is from Bloomfield, NJ and Wolleon was raised in Bayonne but attended high school in Point Pleasant, NJ.
Dziowgo, from Piscataway, NJ, will support in marketing and web design and will also be coaching. She has been with Sky Blue Soccer since 2008, assisting in the development of Sky Blue FC. Dziowgo also competed at the collegiate level at Kean University.
"I am excited about the great staff involved with the Soccer School," Scheer said. "We all have a passion for soccer and our programs allow us to share that passion with young players developing their game."
