SoCal Scorpions News Release

San Diego, CA – Its revenge time for the Scorpions. They are 0-4, they continue to lose key veterans to injuries, 2003 MVP Desiree Barry went down with a near life altering injury in week three, they lost the game against the 2003 champion Northern Ice by a penalty call, and it all started with the season opener 42-6 loss to the Arizona Caliente.

Now, it is time for the Scorpions to re-write the apparent ending to 2004, in this re-match that could potentially alter the outcome of who is on top of the west.

"The team will walk into this game, as if it was game one" stated co-owner Ann Bagala. "This team has had a rough year, but they know if they have any shot at the playoffs it starts this Saturday, there is a hunger, a need to do this for themselves, the fans, and for number 2". Added Bagala

The Scorpions will be donning number 2's for their teammate Barry, who had a neck injury 3 weeks ago.

"I would love to stun this team" Said Head Coach, Nate Benjamin "The Caliente, are a solid football club. They have veterans that have 4 plus years experience, and I would say they are one of the best coached teams in this league" Finished Benjamin.

Game time is 7:00 PM this Saturday, at Edwards Stadium, next to La Jolla High School, 750 Nautilus St in La Jolla. For more information, visit the team's website at www.socalscorpions.com, or call 866-71-STING.
