
So Cal Scorpions, in a New City, Raises the Bar for 2004

San Diego, CA. - They brought the first ever professional sports team to Riverside County for their inaugural season in 2003. Now the So Cal Scorpions in their new city are holding tryouts to fill some open spots for the 2004 roster.
"We are gearing up to show San Diego what women's professional football is really all about". Stated Co-Owner and team General Manager, Ann Bagala. "We will be the first women's professional football team in San Diego to pay their players; we are raising the bar in San Diego". Co-Owner Christina Suggett.
The Scorpions ended last season 4-6 but have made some significant changes in the off season, changing the Head Coach, the Offensive Coordinator, and adding renowned fitness and football trainer, David Depew.
The Scorpions have many of their key veterans returning, and will be holding tryouts for open slots.
"I'm open to any new talent that can make my veterans think their spot is not secure" Chuckled new Head Coach, Nate Benjamin. "We have a very clear cut goal this season, and we are going to work".
The Scorpions will hold their first tryout for 2004, April 17th at UCSD's Muir Field.
